All of these elements came together perfectly, mixed with the music backdrop, and became something brand new and amazing. She was a strong character, but she did let others get inside her head and mess with her. I was left with all kinds of questions and a burning need for MORE. Caisey Quinn delivered both with Leaving Amarillo. The romance was sexy and swoony, but the rest of the book was every bit as great.
I loved Dixie. Sorry, your blog cannot share posts by. I read this one in a single sitting and when I hit the end, I wanted to cry because it was over and I had to wait for the next book. I assumed the books in this series were each standalones about the members of Leaving Amarillo and their quests for love.
She knew what was going on and she made sure he realized it. She lost her parents in an accident when she was young and grew up in a ramshackle house on a dirt road in Amarillo with her ailing grandparents and overprotective older brother. When they finally gave in it was like someone dropped a match into gasoline.
If you love romance and music, you have to check this book out. She was easily relatable.

I wanted to rage at him at times. Bestselling author of the Kylie Ryans series. She still has issues with their death, understandably, and struggles with it quite a bit throughout this book. He was clearly fighting them because of his history and his friendship with and the promise he made to Dallas. Her brother, Dallas, and their friend, Gavin, have been the most important people in her life since the death of her parents.
It was also a frustrating one at times, but in that good way that only happens when you want the best for the characters. Exactly how I like my new adult romance.

I loved how Dixie called him on his bullshit though. Thanks to her grandfather, Dixie learned to play a mean fiddle, inspired by the sounds of the greats—Johnny and June, Waylon, and Hank.

Gavin was a player and it was a huge turnoff at times. I received a copy of this book from the publisher, via Edelweiss, in exchange for an honest review. They had a ton of sexual chemistry and shared strong feelings, too. Dixie, Gavin and Dallas do not disappoint. Toggle.
